Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineering Specialist.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure vehicle and process integrity through systems development and process management within the Paint PE Dept.
Reporting to the PE Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint department's objective to lead chronic problem resolution, support quality improvement, and control costs. The Engineer will also work with Production management to lead projects associated with cost, quality, productivity, and safety.
What you’ll be doing
Lead quality improvements through PFMEA/QCP creation and execution.
Lead cost improvements through gentani calculation, gap analysis, kaizen, and standardization.
Provide daily process support.
Lead equipment and/or process change projects.
Lead new material introductions to production processes.
Develop project proposals, strategies, operating plans, and budget proposals.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering OR similar technical degree OR professional engineering experience in the Automotive industry.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Experience in Process Failure Mode Effect and Analysis
Project Management experience from scope of work through bid awards and contractor oversight.
Experience in color evaluation.
Experience in fluid dynamics.
Added bonus if you have
Knowledge and experience of Ryohin Joken concepts and execution.
Experience in budget planning, proposal, and oversight.
Experience with Ringi creation and submissions.
Experience in paint shop raw material application.
Experience in paint shop raw material storage and circulation systems.
Experience in paint-related defect analysis and problem solving.
Experience in paint-quality instrumentation. (Color, Wavescan, Film build).
