The Alumni Service Corps offers recent Georgetown Prep graduates a unique opportunity to return to campus for a year of service, mentorship, and professional growth. Living and working in the heart of the Prep community, ASC members play an integral role in shaping student life, both inside and outside the classroom.

Whether mentoring students in the dorms, supporting a campus office, or coaching on the field, Alumni Service Corps members help form the next generation of Men for Others.

What You'll Do

The Alumni Service Corps (ASC) is a ten-month program (August to June) for young Georgetown Prep graduates who are dedicated to service and community life. In addition to housing, Georgetown Prep provides meals, medical insurance, and a modest salary.

As a member of the Alumni Service Corps, you will take on a dynamic and meaningful role across campus life:

Live in the dorms as a Dorm Parent, mentoring and supporting boarding students
Work in a campus office such as the Dean of Students, Finance, Advancement, or Campus Ministry
Coach or assist with athletics, building relationships beyond the classroom
Support academics, including tutoring and study hall supervision
Engage with Campus Ministry, helping lead retreats, liturgies, and service initiatives, while meeting regularly with the Director of Mission & Ministry for mentorship and reflection on faith, purpose, and becoming a Man for Others

No two days are the same and every day presents an opportunity to make an impact.

A Day in the Life

Morning
Begin your day working in your assigned office, collaborating with faculty and staff and gaining professional experience.
Afternoon
Head to practices or activities - coaching, mentoring, and building strong relationships with students.
Evening
Return to the dorms for study hall, community time, and informal mentorship - where some of the most meaningful moments happen.

Nic Scurfield '20

Finance & Development Offices • Dorm Parent • Freshman Academic Support • Baseball Coach

After graduating from Bucknell University with a degree in Finance, Nic returned to Prep to serve in both the Development and Finance Offices. He is also a dorm parent, freshman mentor, and baseball coach.

Ben returned to Prep after earning his degree in Law from King’s College London. He supports student life through the Dean of Students Office, mentors boarding students in the dorms, and coaches varsity rugby.

Nico joined the Corps following his graduation from Colorado College. He worked closely with Campus Ministry, led retreats, supported students in the dorms, and coached JV soccer.
